Nelson Laboratories, a provider of life-cycle microbiology testing services, has opened a new facility to accommodate immediate and future requirements for laboratory expansion.
The 12,000ft2 building will provide increased laboratory and testing space and will be used to add aging chambers for packaging testing, additional sterilizers used in validation testing.
The additional space will be used for testing products designed for reuse (cleaning, disinfection, and steam sterilization of tools, kits or scopes used in hospitals).
Nelson Laboratories president and CEO Jeffery Nelson said, "This building will help us meet the growing testing needs and demands of our clients."
Taylorsville city mayor Russ Wall said, "With its national reputation for quality and rigorous testing standards, we're pleased to have Nelson Laboratories based here in Taylorsville."
