Canada's Essar Steel Algoma Predicts The North American Plate Market Will Improve in 2013

Reportedly, Canada’s Essar Steel Algoma predicts the North American plate market will improve over through 2013.

Currently, the market demand for the current quarter is slightly less than what we saw the previous year but pricing may remain under pressure.

Meanwhile, the company is able to produce both sheet and plate at its current operation. For sheet products are used mainly in the automotive end-use market as well as for pipe and tube applications in the construction and oil and gas sectors. For plate products are mostly used in construction, mining, manufacturing, energy, shipbuilding and military end-use markets, respectively.

In addition, the company will aim to keep long relationship with their existing customers and profit margin through 2013.
