UK-based 'wholefood' breakfast cereal brand Jordans has launched its Crispy Oat Clusters and Crunchy Oat Granola across Australia following a trial in 2013.
Jordans was founded in 1972 by Bill and David Jordan, but Holme Mills, the home of Jordans cereals, has been in the Jordans family since 1855. Bill and David Jordan introduced granola to the UK after discovering it for themselves in California.
The Company said oats, which are the main ingredients of its cereals, are a "source of fibre and a nutritious breakfast choice".
"There has never been a greater interest in the world around the link between nutrition and health and a growing desire to build healthier lifestyles through better eating habits," said Bill Jordan, Jordans founder.
Jordans Crispy Oat Clusters was the recipient of the top place in the breakfast cereals category of the Australian Product of the Year Awards in February 2014.
"Although Jordans is an established brand in other countries around the world, we are the new kid on the block in the Australian market," said Charlie Formby, General Manager Jordans Australia. "It is great to get this kind of recognition so early on," he said.
The Jordans Crispy Oat Clusters come in a variety of flavours, including Strawberry, Chunky Nut, Flame Raisin and Raspberry.
The Jordans Crunchy Oat Granola comes in two flavours: Bursting with Berries and Fruit and Nut Combo.
The entire range of Jordans cereals are available at Coles supermarkets. Jordans Crispy Oat Clusters Strawberry and Jordans Crispy Oat Clusters Chunky Nut are available at Woolworths supermarkets. The breakfast cereals come at RRP of $6.99.
