Movigear, for example, is a mechatronic high efficiency drive unit whose popularity is due to its IE4 Super Premium Efficiency rating and high degree of ingress protection (IP66), protecting against wash-down processes. It also features an optional anti-stick Teflon outer coating to protect against chemical/ caustic cleaning processes.
SEW's DAS Series Aseptic gearmotors are designed for hygienic production areas. The Aseptic drive package contributes to the reduction of bacteria, reducing the accumulation of debris and air movements, includes a smooth surface and is not equipped with fans. An IP69K degree of protection is available for motors (IP65K for break motors).
