Canadian printed labels supplier Premier Markings has installed a Xeikon 3030 digital color press in a bid to enhance its short to medium runs label production.
Installation of the new Xeikon press will allow Premier Markings to improve its response times for customers, while attaining better printing quality as well as expand its offerings.
Premier opted for Xeikon's press as its existing digital label technology has the capacity to handle roughly 500 to 2,000 labels jobs only.
With the new Xeikon 3030 in place, which has the capacity to run at a top speed of 31.5ft per minute, Premier could now run label jobs of better runs.
Said to be the entry-level narrow web press of the Xeikon 3000 series of digital label & packaging presses, the new press can handle monthly up to 1.2 million square feet of production volumes and has a variable web width that ranges from 7.9 inches to 13 inches.
