Rich Products of Canada is voluntarily recalling certain the Dorgel and Farmboy products as the products contain almonds that is not mentioned on the label,according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency(CFIA).
The recalled products include Hazelnut Gelato(1.65l),Bacio Chocolate Gelato(1.65l),Bacio Tartufo(4*125ml,30*125ml)of Dorgel brand and 700 ml Hazelnut Gelato of Farmboy brand.
The products being recalled were distributed to food retailers across Ontario.These include all"best before"dates prior to 30 November 2012.
These affected products bears UPC codes 6989218073,6989218076,6989217736,6989217769 and 0891200202.
CFIA is monitoring the recall.The agency advised consumers intolerant to almonds not to consume the recalled products as it may result in serious or life-threatening reaction.
There have been no reported reactions associated with the consumption of these products.
