BD Biosciences, a segment of Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD), has launched BD LSRFortessa X-20 Cell Analyzer, the latest research flow cytometer.
The BD LSRFortessa X-20 Cell Analyzer delivers high-performance multicolor analysis and has been designed to be compact without compromising on the power requirements.
The analyzer can be configured with up to five lasers to detect up to 20 parameters at the same time.
Although the popular laser choices include blue, red, violet, yellow-green and UV, a range of up to 34 laser choices are available as excitation sources, each of which is supported by new polygon detector arrays.
Each polygon can support up to eight detectors for maximum flexibility in optical configuration.
It can be designed by BD's special order program that allows customers to configure BD flow cytometers and cell sorters to fit exact research and assay requirements.
The platform is also supported by a full range of BD Biosciences reagents.
BD Biosciences president Alberto Mas said the BD LSRFortessa X-20 Cell Analyzer will enable researchers to conduct complex experiments with the additional parameters and increased sensitivity they need.
"Uncovering dim staining and rare cell populations is extremely valuable to complex multicolor assays, which are tools for advanced disease or drug development research," Mas added.
