International packaging and paper group Mondi has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of a new premium board – YBBS – for a range of packaging applications.
Manufactured in Austria, YBBS is an uncoated wood-free board with 100% pure virgin fiber. It is available in a range of grades including white, ivory, colored and cupstock.
YBBS premium white board features a CIE whiteness of up to 170, haptics, and a strong environmental profile. It is suitable for folding boxes and shopping bags.
The ivory board is optical brightening agents (OBA) free and totally chlorine free (TCF). It can be used for the packaging of both foodstuffs and non-food products.
Available in 39 standard and extra customized colors, YBBS premium colored board is ideal for personalized packaging solutions. It is certified for toy suitability according to EN71-3 and food contact safety according to BfR XXXVI.
Ideal for hot and cold drinks as well as ice-cream cups, the cupstock board is available as a natural uncoated or polycoated board.
According to the company, all grades are ISEGA certified to comply with the BfR XXXVI regulation on direct food contact safety.
Besides, YBBS board includes a unified color and print reproduction with two-sided printing.
