In spite of stoppages conducted by a number of MDF and HDF producers that typically lasted one to two weeks, supply pressure intensified in Central Europe in December and the first half of January. As a result, a few suppliers were willing, at least temporarily, to make price concessions after minor corrections were made during the fourth quarter.
