In addition to the Bay Trail-T platform, Intel is expected to unveil its high-end Ivy Bridge-E series processors at Intel Developer Forum (IDF), which will be hosted from September 10-12 in San Francisco, the US, according to sources from PC players.
Intel will release Ivy Bridge-E-based 6-core Core i7-4960X (3.6GHz), Core i7-4930K (3.4GHz) and quad-core Core i7-4820K (3.7GHz) processors with TDP of 130W. The three processors will adopt the LGA 2011 socket and support the X79 chipset, DDR3 memory and the PCI-Express Gen 3.0. The CPUs will be priced as high as US$999, the sources said.
These 22nm processors will also not be locked to satisfy users' overclocking needs, the sources added.
