Phenix Wine Distributors has launched a new wine distribution company to serve the US state of California.
The new employee-owned wine distribution firm will focus on innovative wine sales with traditional values.
The existing brands in the Phenix portfolio include Elyse Winery, Renwood Winery, Sarah’s Vineyard, Ferraton Pere & Fils, FEW Wines, Pierre Henri Morel, Roberts + Rogers, and Helwig Winery, among others.
Phenix, which was started by a group featuring the former management team at Epic Wines, is planning to release more brands in the third quarter of this year.
Phenix Wine Distributors president Andrea Mondragon said: “We felt there was a niche in the marketplace for a distributor with a strategic portfolio that allows the sales reps to provide the focus desired by our suppliers.
“Our sales reps have a passion for wine, and are skilled at pairing the right wine with the right customer.”
Elyse Winery owner/winemaker Ray Coursen said: “Our decision to join Phenix was easy, really.
“Small, focused distributors dedicated to both product and service are tough to come by these days. We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with such an experienced team of people that are so passionately committed to the wine industry.”
Phenix Wine Distributors has a portfolio of fine wines imported from all major regions globally across a several price points. The company was incorporated in 2015 and is based in Watsonville, California.
