The Swedish Rheumatism Association (SRA) has certified five new packages from the food processing and packaging firm Tetra Pak for their ease of use.
The latest certification brings the total number of Tetra Pak packages being approved by the SRA to ten since 2007.
Tetra Pak marketing and product management VP Charles Brand said product functionality and consumer experience are principle drivers of the company's development activities.
"The SRA has been an important partner in supporting us to develop and test products since 2004," Brand added.
Tetra Pak has also launched openings and closures to boost the functionality of packages.
The new closures come with HeliCap, a one-step screw cap that offers a good grip with a clearly visible tamper evidence ring, and DreamCap for on-the-go consumption.
In addition, the company improved the shapes of its packages and the new Tetra Brik Aseptic Edge range now includes angled top, which allows more space for the fingers to grip the cap easily.
