Dallas Market Center and ART, the creative home furnishings network, today announced the 24th annual ARTS Awards finalists. The ARTS Awards is the premier awards program for the home industry and is held each January during the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market (Jan. 16-22, 2013). The awards will be presented during a gala event on Saturday, Jan. 19 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel.
"Congratulations to the finalists for this year's ARTS Awards," said Bill Winsor, president and CEO, Dallas Market Center. "It's an honor to celebrate the home industry's finest manufacturers, retailers, product designers and sales reps."
The finalists will submit a digital presentation to a panel of distinguished judges previously announced, including Melanie Belew, interior designer and owner of Belew Design Studio; Cheryl Holland-Bridges, director of the Center for Retailing Studies and executive professor of marketing at Texas A&M's May Business School; Ignaz M. Gorischeck, vice president of store development at Neiman Marcus; Jena Hall, president and CEO of Jena Hall Associates; Leslie Newsom Rascoe, who helped launch Veranda and held various editorial positions including fine arts editor and decoration and design editor; and Susan Inglis, producer, importer, sourcing agent and broker in the home furnishings, fashion and gift industries.
Digital submissions vary based on category and may consist of company history, philosophy, product development, marketing, merchandising or customer relations. In November, the panel of judges will convene in Dallas for two days to review each individual or company's submission. Once all components of judging are complete, a designated accounting firm will tabulate and secure the scores until the winners are announced in January.
The 24th annual ARTS Awards are sponsored by Home Accents Today, Gifts & Decorative Accessories, and other trade media and industry suppliers.
