H.B. Fuller, a global adhesives provider will launch its new Flextra laminating adhesive for Large Stand Up Pouches (SUPs), an addition to the company’s Flextra family of flexible packaging adhesives.
The new solvent-free adhesive joins H.B. Fuller's line of flexible packaging adhesives comprised of solvent-free, water-based and solvent-based formulations. It provides bag converters with a new adhesive that strengthens overall pouch structure to reduce supply chain damage.
According to the company, the adhesive reduces damage and losses from splitting when dropped during distribution, in stores or in use. It also addresses a growing need as bags of all sizes continue to make inroads into flexible packaging.
The technology can be formulated as a water-based or solvent-based solution and has already been commercialized for one of the company's flexible packaging converting customers.
H.B. Fuller focuses on perfecting adhesives, sealants and other specialty chemical products to improve products and lives.
