The New Porsche 911 Turbo Convertible Has Been Caught High-Speed Testing

The new Porsche 911 Turbo Convertible has been caught high-speed testing at Germany's Nurburgring.

Snapped by CarAdvice's spy photographers, the black Porsche 911 Turbo Convertible is free of camouflage and looks identical to the recently released hardtop, bar the electronically folding fabric roof.

Expected to mirror the mechanicals of the recently revealed 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six-powered 911 Turbo Coupe, the Convertible should be offered in both 383kW Turbo and 412kW Turbo S guises.

Accelerating to 100km/h will take a little over 3.0 seconds, though top speeds will likely be toned down from the Turbo S's 318km/h.

All-wheel drive, rear-wheel steering and the exclusive use of a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission will also all be carried over to the drop-top.

With the Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S models due locally in late 2013, priced from around $360-430K, the 911 Turbo Convertible will likely follow in early 2014,?at a premium.
