Subway has added baby spinach to its permanent salad menu

Subway Restaurants has expanded its range of salad offering to Australian customer with the addition of free baby spinach to its permanent lineup of sandwich fillings.

Subway said it expected the addition of "all-Australian grown, fresh baby spinach" would be a popular item in its salad range, with customers keen to fill their sandwich with more salad vegetables or add a gourmet touch to their favourite sub.

"Spinach perfectly complements our salad range and reinforces that at Subway people can choose from a wide range of subs, dressings and salad options, and have their lunch or breakfast made the way they say," said Gina Kahler, Subway Australia and New Zealand Marketing Director. "For a limited time only, Subway is also offering free avocado on any sub, so our customers can really power-pack the sub of their choice," she said.

Subway Restaurants was founded by Fred DeLuca in Connecticut in the US in 1965, and has since grown into a multi-billion dollar business, with more than 30,000 outlets in 87 countries. There are more than 1,200 Subway restaurants in Australia.

Spinach is available at Subway Restaurants Australia-wide as a permanent menu item.
