Frozen Value is recalling chocolate and pistachio ice cream cones in the UK due to incorrect allergy information on the label,reported the Food Standards Agency(FSA).
The product being withdrawn is Picard Chocolate and Pistachio Cones,box of six ice creams,with a best before date of March 2013.
According to the Agency,the affected products contain traces of peanut that is not mentioned on the label.Consumers who are allergic or intolerant to nuts have been advised not to eat this product.The Agency has issued an Allergy Alert.
Frozen Value has withdrawn the affected product,and been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organizations,which will explain to their members why the product is being withdrawn.Consumers who have bought the product can return it to the store for a full refund.
No other Frozen Value products are known to be affected.
