Hillsdale Furniture Will Occupy a Showroom During The Aug. 16-19 Tupelo Furniture Market

TUPELO, Miss. — Bedroom and casual dining resource Hillsdale Furniture will occupy a new showroom here during the Aug. 16-19 Tupelo Furniture Market.

The 2,500-square-foot showroom is in Building 4, space 4051. The company previously subleased about 1,000 square feet of space in Building 3 from The Buying Giant.

Hillsdale officials said the lease is initially short-term, but the company is optimistic about its prospects and will renew if it has a successful showing at the upcoming market.

The company said it is offering a new line of solid wood bedroom and dining room that will be available from its 300,000-square-foot distribution center in Louisville, Ky. It also will show a new line of upholstered beds as well as a variety of new wood and metal barstools.

"These new pieces will appeal to a variety of design aesthetics and retail price points," the company said in a statement.

Keith Meriwether, vice president of sales, added, "We're thrilled to increase our presence at Tupelo. It gives us an opportunity to meet with more dealers who don't attend the High Point or Las Vegas shows."

At the Tupelo show, the company also will have a drawing for a free iPad tablet.
