The US-American company GreenWorld is doubling production capacity at its pellet plant in Laurinburg from its current level of 120, 000 t to 240, 000 t/year. The investment volume for the expansion in capacity is quoted by the company as US$5.5m. The company reports that the expansion investment is to be implemented by the beginning of 2013. At the end of April 2012, GreenWorld also signed a skeleton agreement to take over the pellet plant operated by Natures Earth LLC in Reform.
