On August 18, the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) announced that in early August (August 1-10) this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China - all CISA members - totaled 1.8199 million mt, up 3.59 percent compared to late July (July 21-31).
According to the CISA's previous figures, in late July this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China had amounted to 1.757 million mt, down 2.8 percent from mid-July (July 11-20).
Meanwhile, as of August 10, 2014, overall inventory of the main finished steel products in the major steel markets in China totaled 14.5688 million mt, up 3.44 percent as compared to the figure recorded on July 31.
