Indo-British Garments Pvt Ltd (IBG), a multinational apparel uniforms solution provider, recently celebrated completion of first year of operations at its factory in Faridabad, Near New Delhi – India.
The icing on the cake was that IBG was able to deliver a proof of success on its safety commitment with an accident free first year. IBG was able to do so abiding by the principle of ‘Safety and Health, People and Care, and Efficiency and Quality’ and a highly engaged, motivated and efficient workforce which is self-governed to do better.
IBG has a large manufacturing facility in Faridabad, equipped with over 250 modern state-of-the-art machines producing over one million garments annually. The unit employs over 500 highly skilled professionals to manufacture and market high-class international quality garments.
IBG is accredited with SA 8000:2008 for implementing & following best social practices apart from ISO 9001:2008 certified by QMS.
Carrying the concept of safety beyond the workplace, operators working with the IBG family for more than a year were provided with bicycles and crash proof helmets to ride safely to work.
Not stopping at internal initiatives, efforts were made to ensure that benefits arising from Haryana State Government schemes were availed by the operators and their families, for which the HR department educated and guided the operators through the process of enrollment and realization of various beneficiary schemes.
Free medical health check up, summer training for wards of the operators who wished to learn about people management with the HR department, scholarships for students to pursue higher education, even at foreign universities, music system, upcoming gym facility in the premise and computer centre with internet connectivity for training wards of the employees are amongst the several initiatives taken up by the top management.
The unmistakable joy on the faces of operators at the event bore testimony to the effectiveness of the extensive initiatives undertaken by the factory’s top management.
IBG also has two manufacturing units in Al-Dulayl, Jordan with FTA status among Canada & USA, manufacturing over 20,000 high-fashion garments every day for top international brands operating out of Canada & North America.
The company produces a wide range of garments, which includes variety of shirts, trousers, blazers, jackets, jerseys, ties & many other uniform accessories.
