Teleflex Has Launched Complete Line of Weck Access Devices for Laparoscopic Use

Teleflex has launched complete line of Weck Access devices including Weck Vista bladeless access ports and Weck EFx Endo Fascial Closure system, designed for use during laparoscopic procedures.

The company said during minimally invasive procedures, small tube access devices, which are used as portals for surgical instruments, are inserted in the abdomen.

The optical bladeless access port, which incorporates ridges on the cannula to provide port stability, features a asymmetrical tip for clear visualization of tissue layers during entry.

The Weck EFx Endo Fascial Closure system features a special design for port site closure and with a controlled suture delivery, it enables reproducible fascial closure in varying body types.

Teleflex surgical division vice president and general manager Jay White said the addition of the differentiated new products to the company's portfolio will help create safer, simpler and more cost effective procedures.

"Our goal at Teleflex is to enhance patient outcomes and we believe that these products will give healthcare providers the tools they need to ensure that happens," White added.
