UK-based packaging distribution from Kite Packaging has introduced Stretch Safe system for faster wrapping of pallets.
Designed to wrap any pallet under 2m in height, the Kite’s new manual mobile wrapping system is said to be fast, easy to use and highly efficient.
Kite Packaging spokesman said: “Research carried out by packaging technologists in our specialist ‘Load-retention’ division identified a great opportunity for a system like ‘Stretch safe’.”
The Stretch Safe’s tension control enables users to wrap pallets consistently. It can be used to wrap any pallet load or object as long as there is 600mm of space around the pallet.
Kite said that the system resulted in 40% time saving compared to the traditional method of hand wrapping.
The system also features a roping device to narrow the film until a rope is created. This ensures that the pallet is secured from the top and bottom.
Kite Packaging said: “Used in conjunction with Kite’s high-performance stretch film, exclusively developed by Kite specifically for use with the stretch safe system, it offers high puncture resistance, high holding force, and a 60% stretch to give over 3000m of film.”
Kite has recently launched five new extension wands, expanding its heat shrink range, consisting of Ripack 2200 and 3000.
The wands’ flame nozzle can be extended to allow users to work quickly, easily and reach extended heights.
