According to data released by Taiwan’s ministry of economic affairs, the country’s rebar output totaled 5.14 million tons in the January-November period, down by 1.3% in comparison of the figures in the same period of 2012.
Market participants predicted that the country’s whole rebar production in 2013 would be lower than the figures in a year ago due to weak demand.
In November alone, Taiwan’s rebar output totaled 515,020 tons, rising by 0.9% from a month ago and increasing by 0.6% year on year.
