The Supermarket Giant Has Responded to Customer Feedback

The supermarket giant has responded to customer feedback, which showed that they were unable to remove lidding film from its packaging. Consumers were resorting to using knives or scissors to open the packs.

According to Asda, around 80% of its suppliers have now put the easy peel film in place and the retailer said that it remains "committed to getting all our products into easy film".

It added that consumers are "no longer frustrated about not being able to get into packs or the film tearing into shards. Now they can peel the film away with little effort and no rips".

Richard King, Asda packaging development manager – meal solutions, said: "We have had great support from our suppliers to fix this problem for our customers.? One particular company performed excellently and have delivered a peelable film to us on our retorted products.? A great effort and I look forward to when all our products are in easy peel."
