Jacobs Automation has announced an investment of $1.7m to expand its Kentucky, production facility, which includes a new, 13,200ft2 facility on Airport Exchange Boulevard in Erlanger.
The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) preliminarily approved the company for tax incentives up to $250,000 through the Kentucky Business Investment program, in order to encourage the investment and job creation in northern Kentucky.
The incentive, which is performance-based, allows a company to keep a portion of its investment over the term of the agreement through corporate income tax credits and wage assessments by meeting job and investment targets.
KEDFA also awarded the company state funding up to $250,000 from the Cabinet for Economic Development's High-Tech Investment Pool.
The funds were used by the company for prototype development and to purchase new machinery and software.
Jacobs Automation manufactures automation technology for packaging, material handling and automated assembly.
