The Country's Iron and Steel Import Value Totaled $934.3 Million,Decreasing by 9.1 Percent

In May this year, the value of Taiwan's iron and steel exports decreased by 0.6 percent year on year and declined by 2.6 percent compared to April to $1.53 billion, according to the preliminary statistics issued by Taiwan's Ministry of Finance. In the given month, the country's iron and steel import value totaled $934.3 million, up 6.2 percent year on year and decreasing by 9.1 percent month on month.

In the first five months this year, the value of Taiwan's iron and steel exports was up 3.4 percent to $7.56 billion, while the value of the country's imports of iron and steel totaled $4.63 billion, down 6.7 percent, both on year-on year basis.
