Domino Digital Printing Solutions has unveiled a new digital front end (DFE) workflow solution for the label industry.
Designed for the N-Series range of digital colour presses, the new DFEv2.0 solution is compatible with the latest Esko code base and holds capacity to work with different variable data printing (VDP) formats.
The company will showcase the full capabilities of DFEv2.0 at Labelexpo Europe 2017 in Brussels, Belgium. The event will take place from 25 to 28 September.
Domino ScreenPro is the new screener, which streamlines the workflow by aggregating multiple processes into a single JDF workflow.
It will help to enhance speed and efficiency, as well as allow full offline VDP operation and additional capabilities within DFEv2.0.
The new work flow solution offers increased job processing speeds compared to DFEv1.2, helping to use for variable data printing.
In addition, the new solution enables to pass key information such as lead-in/lead-out, copy count by quantity or print run length from the DFE directly to the digital press.
Domino digital printing solutions product manager Simon Howes said: “Workflow integration is a fundamental component for an efficient digital printing process that should not be underestimated.
“The effective management of press time while optimising print quality needs to be guaranteed, especially for brand-oriented sectors such as labelling and packaging.”
Domino has also unveiled plans to launch new K600i White digital print module at this year’s Labelexpo Europe in Belgium.
The company has developed new digital print module to provide printers with a digital alternative to screen printing.
It will allow to provide immediate job change, minimal maintenance, variable data printing capability, in addition to avoiding the need to buy screens.
