Print giant Chesapeake has announced the extension of its two-year worldwide spending spree to £45m and added a seventh Komori to its SX40 model at its Nottingham plant that produces folding cartons.
The new larger sheet size, higher speed press features Komori's automation package and includes a double-coater and the Komori PQA-S in-line color inspection system, printweek.com reported.
Chesapeake Nottingham operation director Tom Dickie said the press will enable the company to meet the demands of its clients.
The Nottingham plant produces cartons for the pharmaceutical and healthcare markets.
