The Spanish company Jeanologia, world leader in the development of sustainable technologies for finishing garments, and its partner in China, Prosperity Textile, have launched a sustainable technology Demo Centre in Guangzhou (China) to transform the Chinese textile industry into a sustainable and environmentally friendly industry.
This centre, that will be inaugurated on the 8th of August and that will show "one to one" demonstrations on 8th and 9th of August, is its conceived as a referral centre in Asia for demonstration and training specialized in sustainable technologies, such as laser and ozone that allows automation of the production process by reducing production costs while saving water, energy and chemicals and avoid unhealthy processes of operators.
Thanks to the alliance "Jeanologia China by Prosperity" the first Demo Centre of its kind it is been created in China which will provide specialized assistance and training to get the most from these technologies for garment finishing, as well as offering training updates.
Jeanologia’s President, Enrique Silla, has expressed its commitment to ethical and responsible industry with the use of technologies that respect the environment and health of the workers and has underlined that these technologies "are the future of the textile industry”.
Silla noted that technologies developed by Jeanologia, are transforming the way jeans are produced and processed, and also stated that today 30 of 100 jeans produced in Europe or the Americas are made with the technology of this Spanish company.
In addition, he has forecast that the production of jeans will not move from China to Bangladesh or Cambodia, but that it will just change. "In just five years, China will remain the world's leading producer of jeans but this time thanks to the efficiency of sustainable technologies like laser treatments or the use of ozone instead of water" - has clarified Jeanologia president.
In his opinion "the times of shift production from one country to another seeking lower labour costs are over. We are entering the era of technological efficiency. In a few years no pants will be manufactured without the use of green technologies, China has the opportunity to transform their industry”.
In reference to the Demo Centre, Jeanologia’s President emphasized that it will be "an example of the factory of the future" and it will keep on training Chinese companies that want to apply these new technologies. In this line highlighted that Jeanologia and Prosperity are aware that the industry is changing and we not only need to invest in machinery and technology, but it is necessary to train people in the new methods.
For Enrique Silla, "what matters is not the product itself, but the way in which it is produced, how it is done." In this regard, stated that Jeanologia has a history of more than 20 years developing sustainable technologies for garment finishing and today is the number one of textile state-of-the-art technology.
“2013 Denim Innovation Forum”
Also coinciding with the opening of the Demo Centre, Prosperity has organized "Denim Innovation Forum 2013" to be held on 7th and 8th of August at Shangri-La Hotel in Guangzhou and in which will participate Jeanologia with the most important brands such as Invista, Clariant, Kingpins Show, Lenzing Fiber, Texhong, Stylesight or Inside Fashion.

Jeanologia, leader in sustainable technologies for garment finishing
Jeanologia, for more than 20 years, has developed all its technology under the premises of ecology, efficiency and ethics counts on the textile laser that is able to reproduce more sophisticated and "vintage" effects decreasing production time and increasing accuracy and reproducibility towards a more authentic look. It also avoids the using of unhealthy techniques for workers while allowing greater energy savings, as well as water, chemicals and time in the denim finishing process.
Another innovative technology is eco-G2 washer designed for washing clothes and colour tear for achieving an authentic vintage look, uses oxygen and ozone of the atmosphere obtaining considerable savings of water (67%), energy (62%) and chemicals (85%) compared to traditional processes.
In addition Jeanologia launched to the market the E-Soft technology, which converts atmospheric air in nano-bubbles which, when in contact with the garments produce smoothing, allowing savings such as: 98% water, 80% chemical and 79% of energy, obtaining for the first time in history Zero Waste to the environment.
