Hittite Microwave Corp of Chelmsford, MA, USA (which designs and supplies analog, digital and mixed-signal RF, microwave and millimeter-wave ICs, modules and subsystems as well as instrumentation) says that its board of directors has elected Steve Sanghi as a member of the board.
Hittite says that Sanghi brings significant industry and management expertise. He has served for more than 20 years as chairman, president & CEO of Microchip Technology Inc, which manufactures specialized semiconductor devices for control applications. He also serves on the board of directors of Xyratex Ltd, and is chairman of the board of private company FlipChip International and FIRST (a non-profit organization formed to inspire young students in their interest in science, technology, engineering and maths).
“His experience and background is well suited to serve Hittite’s needs as we implement our strategy for the future,” comments Franklin Weigold, chairman of Hittite’s board of directors.
