Nike has launched the new Pumas away jersey in advance of the team’s participation in the second edition of the Rugby Championship.
The Pumas, Argentina's national rugby team, had several of its players on hand for the unveil of the new jersey in Perth, Australia ahead of the upcoming Championship game against Australia including Juan Hernández, Juan Leguizamón, Martín Landajo, Juan Imhoff and the captain, Juan Martín Fernández Lobbe.
The dark blue jersey features a subtle puma print and the team's crest logo on the upper left, which is heat-applied to eliminate seams and prevent it from chafing against the skin. On the back, the iconic sun of the Argentine flag symbolizes the team's patriotism. Matching shorts and socks complete the kit.
The Pumas away jersey features Nike’s latest performance innovation applied to rugby. Nike Dri-FIT technology allows the evaporation of perspiration keeping players dry and comfortable longer. The elasticity of the fabric offers a tighter, stretch fit and better freedom of movement. An inside silicone strap on the bottom prevents the jersey from bunching up, allowing players to focus on the game.
