Low-Noise, Low-Current-Consumption, High-Gain 10-14Ghz Amplifier

Monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) developer Custom MMIC of Westford, MA, USA has launched a 10-14GHz amplifier that offers a low noise figure, low current consumption, and high gain.

Operating from 10GHz to 14GHz, the CMD189P3 is a broadband MMIC low-noise amplifier that delivers more than 19dB of gain with a corresponding P1dB (output power at 1dB gain compression point) of +4dBm and a noise figure of 1.4dB.

Housed in a leadless 3mm x 3mm plastic surface-mount package, it has a 50 ohm matched design, eliminating the need for external DC blocks and RF port matching.

The CMD189P3 is suitable for electronic warfare (EW) and communications systems where small size and low power consumption are needed. Applications include point-to-point and point-to-multi-point radios, military end-use and test instrumentation.
