TomTom, in a joint venture with AutoNavi Holdings, has signed a seven year agreement with Chinese car-maker Qoros Auto to supply traffic information for its cars from next year.
As per the deal, the HD Traffic will be installed on Qoros car's, that provides drivers with the accurate and up-to-date traffic information available.
The company said that its HD Traffic fusion engine produces precise delay times and indicates the exact location of congestion on the road network.
TomTom head of traffic product unit Ralf-Peter Schäfer said securing the company's first OEM customer using HD Traffic in China is an exciting win for them.
"Working with such a strong partner in the automotive landscape in China and Europe is an opportunity for TomTom to further prove that HD Traffic is the best real-time traffic solution available globally," Schäfer said.
Qoros Auto head of sales and marketing Stefano Villanti said it is the company's mission to deliver a first-grade and distinctive driving experience to all its customers.
"Partnering with TomTom and AutoNavi supports that mission for we believe that HD Traffic will allow our drivers to enjoy an efficient, stress-free driving experience," Villanti said.
