Axon, a business unit of Pro Mach, will showcase stainless steel version of Aurora, a series of in-line mandrel-style shrink sleeve applicators, at West Pack 2014 in Anaheim convention center in California, US, to be held between 11-13 February 2014.
The Aurora series is said to provide applicator speeds up to 300 full-body shrink sleeves per minute.
The system has stainless steel frame options in 304 grade for wet-filling rooms and 316 grade for increased corrosion resistance.
According to Pro Mach, the options make the system suitable for full shrink sleeve labeling of beverages, dairy products, household chemicals, nutraceuticals, and pharmaceuticals.
The Aurora applicators offer simplified operation, maintenance, and line integration through the industry standards defined by Packaging Machinery Language (PackML). The system also features a modular EtherNet/IP control platform from Rockwell Automation.
Axon provides various custom options for Aurora units, along with different features, including recipe functionality, left or right hand orientation, bilingual operation and electric height adjustment.
