In early July (July 1-10) this year, the average prices in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar, 20 mm Q235 common medium plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipe and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 3,124/mt ($509.6/mt), RMB 3,407/mt ($555.8/mt), RMB 3,455.5/mt ($563.7/mt), RMB 4,149.6/mt ($676.9/mt), and RMB 3,373.9/mt ($550.4/mt) , down RMB 3.5/mt ($0.57/mt), RMB 18.7/mt ($3.05/mt), RMB 6.3/mt ($1.03/mt), RMB 31.1/mt ($5.07/mt), and RMB 6.5/mt ($1.06/mt), indicating respective declines of 0.1 percent, 0.5 percent, 0.2 percent, 0.7 percent and 0.2 percent compared to prices in late June (June 21-30), as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics on July 14.
In early July, the price of 6.5 mm HPB 300 wire rod was recorded at RMB 3,234/mt ($527.6/mt), up RMB 9.3/mt ($1.52/mt) or 0.3 percent compared to late June.
