To mark the Vietnam-France Friendship Year 2013-2014, International Textiles and Garment Festival, which aims to feature works of artisans, designers and craftsmen from all over the world, will be hosted for the very first time in Vietnam.
Originated in France, the fest will showcase more than 80 exclusive ancient and modern garment and textile items narrating the history and evolution of international textile trade industry.
To be held in the Vietnamese province of Hu?, the event will also include fashion shows organized by the participants, including Patis Tesoro, Kinor Jiang, Shu Sun, Rui Xu, Guo Xiang Yuan, Zou You, Ð?ng Th? Minh H?nh, Francoise Hoffmann, Sophie and Francis Dravigny as well as French companies like Satab de Saint Just Malmont and Puy en Velay.
The fest will be hosted as part of the fifth edition of biennial Hue Traditional Crafts Festival, which promotes traditional crafts, craft villages and the tourism industry of the country, scheduled to be held from April 27 to May 1, 2013.
Organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the five-day-long crafts festival will feature a range of products created by Vietnamese artists specializing in embroidery, silk weaving and conical hat making.
