Anchor Packaging, a manufacturer of rigid packaging, will add the new three-compartment 9” to its Gourmet Classics line of hinged RPET containers.
Designed to keep the food fresh and appealing, the new product is best suited to pack food items like pre-packaged salad.
The introduction of compartments in the container helps in eliminating the need to buy pouches or portion cups to segregate food items while at the same time reducing carbon footprint.
The new container measures 9" 3 and joins the 1-compartment 6", 7.5", and 9" deep and shallow packages from 14 to 40 ounces. The product also features an anti-fog technology which helps in maintaining visibility.
The new container lends a 'just made' feel to the food, owing to the elimination of condensation while in refrigerated case. The risk of messy spills is also eliminated due to the leak-resistant lid.
The easily removable tear-away lid is said to be consumer-friendly and fits neatly out of the way under the black base. The company claims that these packages are made with a minimum of 10% FDA approved post-consumer RPET and are also eligible for recycling after use.
The company primarily manufactures takeout packaging for restaurants and quick service chains. It also manufactures packages to merchandise fresh prepared ready-to-eat and ready-to-heat meals in super-markets, convenience stores and other foodservice operations.
Some of the products in the company's product line are Crystal Clear, Crystal Classics, Culinary Classics, Culinary Basics, Culinary Squares, Embraceable, Incredi-Bowls, Mega-Meal, MicroRaves, MicroRounds, Microlite, Roaster Series and AnchorFoil.
The company also provides custom package design for food companies in the US, Canada, South America, Europe and Australia.
