HTC Announced Registered Consolidated Revenue of NT$21.2 Billion

HTC Corp., a major maker of smartphones in Taiwan, announced registered consolidated revenue of NT$21.2 billion (US$706.7 million) in November, up 23.3% month-on-month (MoM).

The company had consolidated revenue of NT$17.2 billion (US$573.3 million), meaning it is difficult to achieve targeted fourth-quarter revenue goal of NT$60 billion (US$2 billion), due to December being a traditional off month for the cellphone market.

In the first 11 months, HTC registered cumulative consolidated revenue of NT$267.5 billion (US$8.9 billion), down 39.1% from the same period of 2011.

The company simultaneously launched new models in Taiwan and China recently, including the HTC Butterfly, Windows Phone HTC 8X and 8S in Beijing.

A senior HTC manager pointed out that the maker hopes to bring different user experiences to customers in China and continue to create more mobile lifestyles, through continued innovation and R&D. Currently, HTC has more than 2,500 retailers in China, including 47 specialty stores.

In Taiwan, HTC tied up with mobile carrier Taiwan Mobile to push the HTC One SV, which targets to stir up demand in the Christmas season.
