US-based Sunwin Stevia International has added A3-99 extracts to its commercial production capabilities as part of its stevioside expansion project.
A3-99 extracts are one of the highest quality stevioside extracts in the world and are used in the pharmaceutical and food and beverage applications, according to the company.
Sunwin Stevia has completed testing for the production process of the A3-99 extract, making it one of the few producers in China. The company expects to begin shipments of the A3-99 in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2013 and intends to seek patents for its A3-99 production methodology in China.
Sunwin Stevia International chief executive officer Dongdong Lin said that the company's recent facility upgrade has substantially increased its capabilities and it anticipates further addition to production capabilities as testing and trial production runs.
"We look forward to actively marketing our A3-99 stevia in China and eventually in the international markets in the coming quarters," Lin said.
Sunwin Stevia International is involved in the production of zero calorie, all natural sweeteners to cater to the needs of consumers across the globe.
