EC Extends 27.4% AD Duty Order on Stainless Steel Fasteners From China to The Philippines

The European Commission (EC) has announced that it has extended the 27.4 percent antidumping duty (AD) order on stainless steel fasteners from China to the Philippines as a result of the anti-circumvention investigation initiated against the Philippines, Malaysia and Thailand, while terminating the anti-circumvention investigation against Malaysia and Thailand.

The EC concluded that the definitive antidumping duty imposed on imports of certain stainless steel fasteners and the parts thereof originating in China was circumvented by transshipment via the Philippines.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, in January 2012 the European Commission renewed the antidumping duty on the abovementioned product from China for another five years.

The products covered by the investigation currently fall within CN codes 7318 12 10, 7318 14 10, 7318 15 30, 7318 15 51, 7318 15 61 and 7318 15 70.
