Infinti Australia's General Manager Has Resigned with The Japanese Luxury Brand

Infinti Australia’s general manager has resigned with the Japanese luxury brand set to come under new leadership from October.

Kevin Snell had been the driving force behind the launch of the brand in Australia, having been championed by former Nissan Australia boss Dan Thompson.

Confirming the news today, Infiniti Australia general manager of corporate communications Peter Fadeyev said Snell was leaving to establish his own independent business operation unrelated to the automotive industry.

The news comes just days after Infiniti announced massive price cuts across its model range. Year to date the Nissan-owned luxury brand has sold just 207 cars, compared with 13,357 for BMW, 17,791 for Mercedes-Benz, 10,777 for Audi and 4,470 for fellow Japanese rival Lexus.

Infiniti’s launch in the Australian market was always expected to be a big challenge, nonetheless the Japanese brand has always insisted that it is here for the long haul, waiting for its new range of products to arrive, the first of which being the incoming Infiniti Q50 that will compete with the popular Mercedes-Benz C-Class and BMW 3 Series.

While a replacement is found, the company’s national sales manager, Andrei Zaitzev, will take the helm.
