A number of German interior door suppliers claim to have now largely instituted mark-ups averaging 3% that they announced for the second quarter of this year. However, a few prices have not yet risen. Suppliers that charged more from 1 April or 1 May reported that implementing higher prices proved a little trickier than last year. These price hikes are being primarily fuelled by higher costs for adhesives, energy and logistics as well as a rise in wage costs at the end of last year. Prices for a number of types of wood-based panels have not increased significantly in the past few months.
