Sustainable bioplastics manufacturer Cereplast has signed a distribution agreement with Albis Plastic in Germany to supply Cereplast bioplastic resins to the UK and Ireland.
The company said it has shipped the first purchase order to Albis Plastic, which will distribute both Cereplast Compostables resins, with a focus on blown film grades and blow molding grades, as well as Cereplast Sustainables resins, including the Cereplast Hybrid Resins product line.
The contract signifies the increasing demand for bioplastic resins in Europe and expands Cereplast's foothold on the continent.
Albis UK managing director Ian Mills commenting on the agreement said, "Cereplast offers an excellent range of sustainable plastics which complements Albis' extensive green portfolio perfectly."
