CSC's Cold Rolling and Coil-Coating Project in Vietnam Will Start to Produce in Q3

China Steel Corp (CSC), the largest carbon steelmaker in Taiwan announced that its cold rolling and coil-coating project in Vietnam will start to produce in the third quarter of 2013.

This plant which owns annual capacity of 1.2 million tons started to hot running in April this year and produced its first non-grain-oriented silicon steel in that month successfully.

The plant is scheduled to produce about 300,000 tons per year of hot-dip galvanized coil, 200,000 tons per year of non-grain-oriented silicon steel, and about 200,000 tons per year of pickled and oiled.

Also, CSC opened the office for CSVC China Steel Sumikin Vietnam Joint Stock Company in Ho Chi Minh on May 22nd.

Under the agreement, CSC holds 51% of the shares , Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corp (NSSMC) 30%, trader Sumitomo Corp 5% and others 14%.
