Digital colour printing specialist Xeikon has introduced two new toners for designers, label and package printers and converters.
Named MatteSilver and PalladiumSilver, the silver metallic colours can be used with Xeikon’s new digital printing technology.
They are the first products in the Xeikon Creative Colors toner group, which recognises the added value special effects bring to label and packaging print.
MatteSilver offers a rich metal finish to the print substrate, while PalladiumSilver features a speckled silver sparkle for extra textural interest.
Director of product management at Xeikon Jeroen Van Bauwel says the new toner line mirrors the capabilities of flexo and offset inks.
“We're giving label and packaging printers and converters the opportunity to offer brand owners added-value haptic and optic qualities with the Xeikon digital print process – popular features of brand promotion and marketing across the globe today,” he says.
“The Creative Colors toner line adds an extra dimension to our recognised strengths in the label and packaging print arena – shorter runs, extended product variants and faster delivery times than conventional processes – as well as personalisation.”
The MatteSilver and PalladiumSilver toners will be commercially available as of Labelexpo Europe 2015, held in Brussels from 29 September to 2 October.
