According to statistics released by the Ministry of Finance,Japan exported 3.5 million tons of steel products in November,increasing by 16.4%year on year and rising by 6%from a month ago.
The export revenues generated by steel products were at US$3.1 billion,down by 4.3%year on year.
Among them,140,000 tons were exported to the US,decreasing by 22.3%;26,000 tons were to the EU,rising by 18.5%and 442,000 tons were to China,decreasing by 12%,all compared to the figures in the same period of a year ago.
In November,Japan's imports of steel products totaled 681,159 tons,falling by 10.6%year on year.The import values generated by steel products amounted to US$759 million,decreasing by 31.2%year on year.
