Austin, Texas-based Nuventix is in line for $10 million from GE and other investors for its cooling technology that helps to make LED lights more durable and reliable. The firm developed a method for moving air to cool LEDs using a single membrane, instead of traditional fans. The money will help Nuventix expand globally. "Nuventix`s technology can improve the quality of LED lights by making them brighter, longer-lasting and potentially cheaper," said Steve Briggs, vice president of marketing and product management at GE Lighting.
