Acbel, a Member of Taiwan's Kinpo-Compal Group, Recently Signed an Investment Agreement

Acbel, a member of Taiwan's Kinpo-Compal Group, recently signed an investment agreement with Samost, a company based in Zhengzhou, China, to focus on developing LED lighting. Industry sources said the investment will be largely put towards developing interior lighting in the beginning with plans to further extend into different areas of LED lighting in the future. AcBel said signing the agreement will give the two companies a chance to further expand their services as China's government is implementing new plans and development projects that include LED lighting. The company also said that Samost is the leading LED company in Henan Province (to which Zhengzhou belongs) and has sales channels in 20 provinces and cities throughout China. The total investment amount is CNY100 million (US$15.8 million) with Samost putting forth CNY55 million and Acbel CNY45 million. Source: DIGITIMES
