Digital printing technology firm Electronics For Imaging (EFI) has developed 4D VUTEk printer, a new technology and framework for 4D printing.
VUTEk features photopolymer additive inkjet printing and a PrintFlow scheduling software operated by EFI Fiery digital front end (DFE) to control time coordinates.
The machine will enable operators to adjust the chronological position during printing. It can also be operated backwards to discard errors in printing.
By loading final print job design to the 4D VUTEk print engine, operators can increase their productivity.
New Zealand-based Look Forward Printing will install the 4D VUTEk printer on 1 April 2015.
